The holidays are just around the corner. Everyone is shopping! Are you a good shopper?
Imagine that you are shopping when you play tennis. When you shop, do you buy
every thing you see? No, of course not. You narrow your choices and become highly selective. The same is true in tennis. Most for the time in a point you are just shopping for the right ball to put in play or maintain the rally. You will be surprised just how many points you will win just by keeping the ball in play. Then, on occasion, you will buy something by going for the point or winning.
Do you know what shots you have that have the potential to win the point, or do you try to win the point every time you hit the ball? Be realistic. Learn where and when you can win the point. Then go for it. Be a good shopper. Your doubles partner will especially love your ability to decide whether it is time to shop or buy.
Good luck on the courts!
