In doubles, many players make their strategy way too difficult. Try this.
Convince both yourself and your partner to keep the ball low. Instead of hitting angles and trying to hit the ball past your opponents, try keeping the ball low, below their waists. You will find that if you and your partner can keep the ball low for several shots in a row, you will be surprised.
In these rallies, you will not be winning and you will not be losing. You will receive most of your points by receiving unforced errors caused by keeping the balls low and frustrating your opponents.
Save your fancy shots for when you become a pro. You will find that the team that keeps the ball low will most often win.
Good luck on the courts!
