As you learn the game as a beginner or intermediate, most of your problems are determined by "How." How do I hit this shot and how do I hit that shot. Even most of your lessons at this stage are also "How to hit it."
However, when you reach a more advanced and competitive level the question you need to ask yourself is "Where." Where do I need to hit it, where are my opponents, where is my partner, where is the wind coming from, where is the sun, where is the opening, etc.
If you are playing competitive tennis you do not need to burden yourself with the "How" questions. It is too late for that. Those things are already ingrained in your mind and muscle memory. You will find that this works better and will make you immediately more competitive. Where I hope to see you is on the courts thinking "Where."
Good luck on the courts!
