Let's Get Started Playing Tennis Again!

Let's Get Started Playing Tennis Again!
- Tennis is very social; you have been missing your friends.
- Start treating yourself like an athlete: Get moving again, walking, biking, the gym aerobics, weights, stretching, etc.
- Take a couple of refresher tennis lessons. Always a great idea not to start back with bad habits.
- Start off by just hitting the ball back and forth. Don't worry about playing points yet.
- Practice a little of all your shots, serves, volleys, groundstrokes, serve returns, etc.
- Start taking care of yourself, eating better, get more sleep, get a physical so that you have no worries.
- Get a good racket, new shoes and new balls. Get a ball hopper for your balls to practice your serve.
- Look for area "socials," always a great way to meet new players.
- Enter local tournaments and don't worry about winning or losing, just have a great time!
- Do not play every day or for too long. You will only get injured. Start gradually, building up your stamina.
Remember, you must get started!
Good luck on the courts!
