When playing doubles - think, "untie those shoelaces!" When you receive a weak high ball near the net, (whether it is in the air or on the bounce) think about hitting it at your opponent's shoelaces. This will force them to hit up on the ball, not allowing them to attack your team. You should try to establish your position on the court so that your opponent cannot constantly attack your shoelaces.
In general, try to get out of "No-Man's Land." If you stay there too long your opponent will constantly be untying your shoelaces. You are constantly trying to untie your opponent's shoelaces while at the same time you are trying to keep yours tied.
Good luck on the courts!
