Your Goals
Call the balls which land behind the service line "out". Your partner
should call the alley line and the center line.
Once the serve bounces and it is good, watch the opposing net player (Never
Watch your partner return the ball.) Remember, the 1st player that can
attack you after your partner returns serve is the opposing net player.
Stand more toward the middle of the court forcing the opposing net player
to hit to the outside of your court (a lower percentage shot).
In general, if your partner returns the serve low and aggressively cross
court (away from the net player) move in a few steps to become more
effective. If your partner returns the serve high and weak, hold your
position taking a defensive position.
If you are getting attacked constantly while standing on the service line,
move back to the baseline with your partner. Hopefully, this will not
happen often.
