When playing doubles remember these tips - the team that hits more volleys than groundstrokes usually wins the match. The team that contacts more balls when they are higher than the net usually wins the match. Therefore, to keep advancing up the skill ladder in doubles - FIND WAYS TO GO TO THE NET! Examples: Move in to volley after hitting the ball at your opponents feet. Follow your good, deep lobs to the service line while looking for a weak lob return from your opponent, which you can hit for an overhead smash. Serve & volley. Poach off of your partners' first serve. DOUBLES IS NET PLAY.
