We just finished an event in Corpus Christi called USPTA "Tennis Across
America" and CCTA "Double Up". The local USPTA professionals partnered with
the Corpus Christi Tennis Association and ran an event that included a free
USPTA "Tennis Across America" doubles clinic put on by Steve Denton former
#1 world ranked doubles player; there was also a Friday night mixer with a
prize court by Head/Penn; a Wilson prize court on Saturday to go along with
the USPTA Free Clinic , free Bar-B-Que and a doubles tournament for men and
women. It was a great event with food, prizes, tennis clinic and
tournament. Everyone had a good time and the USPTA pro's were very helpful
in running the event along with the community tennis association volunteers.
There were many vendors who donated goods and a silent auction table was set
up for two days and the entire event raised a few thousand dollars for the
local tennis programs.

Everyone had a great time and want to do the same format next year and hope
to increase the numbers.
