The ITF has a booklet out on worldwide tennis participation; The USTA has
numbers on participation in the United States with their "Plan for Growth"
numbers; the TIA has information on participation and equipment sales which
equates to participation and the USPTA has numbers on tennis professionals
who participated in "Tennis Across America" and "Tennis Around the World".

I am sure you will be able to find most of these organizations on the web
and get e-mail addresses.

The ITF is at www.itftennis.com and the company that did their survey is

The Tennis Industry Association also has participation numbers and their web
site is at www.tennisindustry.org

The United States Tennis Association is at www.usta.com

The United States Professional Tennis Association is at www.uspta.org
