Dear Virginia,

Re: Origins of scoring. I too heard that love comes
from the French word, "l'oeuf", which means egg.
Egg being oval or 0. I also heard the scoring
system was established so that "those less fortunate"
would find it difficult to understand. Tennis of
course at that time was a game for nobility.
