[tennisbiz] Re: stocking a pro shop

I work in our tennis/fitness club's pro shop and can tell you it takes some
effort to find tennis related merchandise. We have developed some good
contacts for gift items which sell briskly this time of year. We're also
fortunate to host many tournaments and travel team matches. Visitors are
always intrigued by our selection and the gift items are a great way to get
customers of all ages into the shop to look around.

We can usually locate the items we want but one thing we're finding deficient
in many suppliers is good old fashioned customer service. Of course some
companies do an adequate job but I often wish I could trust our vendors to
get orders out when they promise or advise otherwise. I can't even get a
return phone call from most of them!

Our shop is currently looking for well-priced wholesale 14K and sterling
silver tennis jewelry. I'm told there once were bargains but we're not so
sure anymore. Any advice?
