[tennisbiz] USTA hires its first new-media exec
<x-flowed>The Industry Standard, a magazine that covers the Internet
industry, ran a story this week:
"Tennis Online, Anyone?"
The U.S. Tennis Association hires its first new-media exec in the
hopes of serving up the ultimate tennis portal.

Certainly a long overdue development.
The story talks about how the USTA has hired Ezra Kucharz as
their first managing director of new media. I found it
interesting to read that Kucharz was a co-founder of the sports
content site Total Sports, and previously was an executive at
the NASA Johnson Space Center. Tennis Server and its parent
company The Tenagra Corporation were also the products of a
NASA Johnson Technology Incubator.
I thought it might be interesting to interview Mr. Kucharz for
Tennis Server and see what he thinks of his new position, so I
went to the USTA web site, http://www.usta.com/, and tried to
find information on how the media can contact the organization
when doing a story. Alas, they have no contact information
online that I could find. I guess Mr. Kucharz's first order
of business is obvious!
