If you're playing around "tax time" (April 15th) you can hold a "Poor Man's
Tax Tournament". It's a rotation mixer with interchanging partners every 5-9
games. Give each player an exemption each round which allows their first
double fault to "not count" and be taken over. If you have weaker vs
stronger players, give the weaker players 1 or 2 "deductions" each round
which they can take against their opponents whenever they choose. For
example, if the opponents are serving and ahead 40-30 and the losing team has
a "deduction" they can take it and make the score 30-all to even things up,
at least temporarily. Total who wins the most games and reward the winners
with a "tax refund" gift certificate from your shop, free lesson, etc. Give
your booby prize winners a certificate for a future tax audit.
