[tennisbiz] Re: two-handed backhand grips
Dear Bob:
I totally agree, but the problem with to handed
backhands is the strain to the lower back and the
extra effort involved. Tennis is a game of
emergencies, so there is no right way to hit the ball,
only what works for each individual, our job as tennis
professionals is to correct any flows that could cause
injuries to our students. Form is not important, what
is important is fun and fun in tennis is just getting
the ball back one more time. Sometimes we forget that
and we get involved in teaching too much technique
instead of teaching them that tennis is fun and that
the most important thing in tennis is getting the ball
over the net.

P.S. In response to Carlos' thoughts on the grip for
the two handed backhand grip; I'm kind of confused,
you say that the nondominant hand, meaning the left
hand for the righthanded player must have a
continental grip? Doesn't that open the racquet face?
Just a question.
Please folks I'm not taking it personal. If you feel
like I'm pushing it a little too much it may be
because of the language barriers, (spanish is my first
language).
Thanks again and sorry for the misinterprtestations
Miguel
