[tennisbiz] Re: Drills for advanced players
Dear Miguel:
A great book is "Pressure Tennis" by Paul Wardlaw. It has many good ideas in
it. If you do use the drills in the USTA's book "Tennis Tactics: Patterns of
Play" (they also have a video) make sure you keep the drills competitive
based. More advanced players usually want to compete as well as play fun
games and practice. Gundars Tilmanis (Portland, Oregon USA) has a good drill
manual that is worth looking at as well as Oncourt Offcourt "Top 100 drills
and games" video series. The only other suggestion is to have your players
create a drill. Let them choose a focus for the drill, help them develop it
and teach it to others.
