[tennisbiz] Re: Let the racket do the work
<x-charset iso-8859-1>Manny,
As instructors we all use "key phrases" to convey an image or feel to our
students.
I use the "let the racket do the work" quite a bit whenever I am working on
the serve and am trying to get my student to stroke the ball instead of
trying to "hit at" the ball or "muscle" it over.
By using this phrase, I try to get my students to visualize the racket
working for them and get the student in a relaxed mode to stroke more
efficiently and effectively without expending unnecessary energy.
