[tennisbiz] Re: Two Coaches
Maybe this point is just understood, but everyone seems to be talking about
the two-coach issue from the coach's point of view. The most important thing
in my mind is what is best for the student. Does the student want two
coaches? Is the student comfortable with two coaches?
Then the compatibility of the two coaches has to be there. If it's not,
mature decisions between the coaches, student and student's parents if
applicable need to be made. Way too many coaches treat their students as "my
players." We're tennis coaches; not slave owners or soul owners. If we
continue to do what we truly feel is best for the student, and we take into
account the feelings and thoughts of the student and any other potential
coaches of that student, good things will more likely than not result.
