We just started using Aphelion software for our club billing. It also has
point of sale, inventory control, employee time clock, and other available
modules for contracts and collections and so on. We chose this particular
system because it allows you to allocate payments on account (to specific
charges in a member's account) instead of a general application of the
payment to the oldest bill first (most systems do this). We were interested
in this feature because it gives an accurate picture of income per specific
club account (dues, proshop, stringing, events etc). Aphelion is NOT an
accounting program - for that we use MYOB. All of the club accounting is
done on MYOB. We like the separation of the two systems. Once per month
summary numbers are entered from Aphelion to MYOB - this is nice because it
serves as a double entry verification.
