When to take the outdoor nets down would depend on your location (in
which region you are located) and the type of court surface (hard
courts, har-tru, etc). I am now in the Midwest and on hard courts
(both indoor and outdoor). Our outdoor nets will stay up all year
long. When I was living in the mid-Atlantic area, playing on outdoor
har-tru courts, we took the nets down around the end of November
because the cold weather would make the har-tru courts unplayable.
Therefore we would take the nets down to prevent people from
attempting to play on the courts and consequently ruining the court
surface.
