We have used stroke trainers for years with all of our students .
Children ( ages 6 -- 12 yrs. ) work well during interval training i.e.. a
10 / 15 ratio of stroke to fed ball practice . Teens and Adults need to be
challenged , we have adapted the racquets we use by attaching a broom stick
to a racquet handle to force them to maintain a narrow focus at the contact
point .
The trainer also works well when teaching the concepts of weight
transfer from the rear leg to the front leg when contacting the ball .
Stroke corrections are made as the ball passes through the contact zone . I
