[tennisbiz] Admission Fees

Our city administrations are considering charging an admission
fee for spectators to come watch all levels of tennis events @
our public facility.

Is this an idea whose time has come, or a revenue-producer that
will turn off players, parents and their friends and become a PR
nightmare. Their argument - many sports from high school
basketball/football to pro-level events charge this fee.

If so, what events listed below would most tennis pros/administrators
deem appropriate/inappropriate to charge admission fee or do you have
any suggestions to combat this idea.

A. pro events such as Futures, Challengers

B. major NCAA, ITA events

C. local college dual meets

D. local high school dual meets

E. state high school district regional, state championships

F. USTA sanctioned junior events

G. USTA sanctioned novice junior events

H. USTA sanctioned adult events

I. USTA league events
