[tennisbiz] Wild Cards

Suprise, suprise: just as I wrote about a few days ago, the French Open
men's and women's singles draw was issued today and 7 of the 8 wild
cards in each draw has been assigned to French players. And afterall,
who could be more deserving than such household, crowd-pulling names as
Mr De Chaunac, Benneteau, Lisnard, Mathieu or Ms Bartoli, Andretto, Pin,
Cohen Aloro.

I am sure that they are all very talented and deserving by French
standards, but as far as I am concerned, it is a clear case of
discrimination which so blatantly repeats itself at every Grand Slam
event.
