[tennisbiz] changing grips from the two handed forehand to backhand and vice versa
Hello Everyone,
I welcome the advice of knowledgeable teaching pros and coaches on a
grip question.
I have taught -- or rather she taught me mostly -- a 6 1/2-year-old girl
the two-handed forehand. Mira is a righty, and she uses Eastern grips on
both her hands with her right hand above (placed nearer the racket throat)
her left hand for the forehand.
The question is: What is the best way for her to switch her hands for a
two-handed backhand? I have been teaching the two-handed backhand with a
Continental grip for the bottom hand and a Continental grip (usually) for the
top or left hand (nearer the racket throat).
Thank you for your expertise.
Sincerely,
Paul Fein
