<x-charset iso-8859-1>Here are two more charting ideas.
1. Select a single issues, like unforced errors. Place extra balls on each
court. Have players squeeze one ball into the fence for each unforced error.
Then, at the end of a set, they (and you) see how many unforced errors were
made. This is a self-charting idea I always have called "simplicity
charting." There must be another 50 themes you can come up with. It's
simple, yet very effective, since the players themselves are the ones doing
the charting.
2. For a software program, one of the most affordable and easy-to-use is
Sportz Fax. They come on a CD and you can filter things like "how did
so-and-so play against left-handers this season?".
