Your message reminds me that many years ago - in the sixties, time flies! -
at our club in Sweden, we had a structure like that over one court with
carpet surface. Just like you said, we rolled up the sides, and had a
rain-protected outdoor court. There was one problem, though. On sunny days,
we had about a third of the court, from one baseline to the other, very
bright while the rest of the court was pretty dark.
Knowing about that problem in advance, there may be ways to avoid the
problem...
