[tennisbiz] Re: Equal Pay

If you made a Women only Grand Slam it would be the only way to know!
But, I venture to say that from what you see in the WTA Tour it would be a
losing proposition for Women.
The record tells us that if IMG did not come to the rescue of the WTA Tour
(for self-interest of course!), no one would have sponsored the Women`s Tour
then meaning the end of professional Women`s Tennis.
If this does is not enough to illustrate how weak the base for equal pay in
part
of the WTA in the Grand Slams, nothing is.
On the other hand I must say that it is no skin of anyone Grand Slam`s
...... to
raise Women`s prizes to equal Men`s, since what they give to the both
amounts to about 5% of the CAKE.
That should probably be the real question:
Should Grand Slams POCKET MILLIONS while players (Women and Men)
receive a measly part of the revenue?
