Catching a tennis ball is a great exercise for kids to do, makes them watch
the ball and see how it bounces.
You throw a ball and they have to catch it with two hands after one bounce,
then throw overarm back to you..a little help for the service. Then try
making them catch it after two or three bounces, to help them judge
distances. Then they have to catch the ball one handed as if it was a
forehand ie the the right side of the body, not infront.
Then they can play a game in the service boxes, one starts underarm toss
into the diagonal service box the other has to catch it after one bounce, if
not they lose the point.if caught then that player returns with an underarm
toss and so it continues
