[tennisbiz] Used tennis balls

A good use for used tennis balls is to give kids at tennis-related events
a fun craft activity. At the Family Circle Cup last year, in the Kids Zone,
they had a tennis ball-decorating station, with craft eyes (different
shapes and colors), eyelashes, doll hair, pipe cleaners (to make hair
spirals), markers, glue sticks and other (non-toxic) items, all sitting in
separate bins for the kids to choose how they wanted their ball to
look. The best ones were left up for display. I used the concept at a
free clinic for kids and it was an overwhelming hit. One kid even used
white hair mixed with black to make an image of her grandmother -
the likeness was amazing!
