I think its all very interesting reading your replies.
I have had a reply direct to my web site on this issue, regarding the demise
of the clay court circuit in the USA..why is this?
But a word also regarding the reply from Pat Kubota, who says a major
problem are the number of "foreign players" who are taking the places of
Americans in the Universities, and so has a knock on effect in tennis in
general.
The same has happened in Germany. They have a professional league called the
Bundersliga, and according to my friends there, the teams are full of
players from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the smaller Russian states, so
the young good German kids cannot get into the teams..I think moves are
infoot to limit the number of foreigners that a team can play.
