[tennisbiz] Re: Tennis Training Aids
Hi Darren,
Joe Dinoffer, Oncourt Offcourt, ltd. has a lot of training aids which are
very useful.
I invented the Power -V- Grip. You attach it to the handle which increases
the size of bevel 2 and 4 creating a V shape. This gives all the grips a very
distinctive feel all their own that a standard shaped handle just does not
provide. This makes it so much easier to teach, learn and use all the grips.
Oops, all the teaching pros just passed out. You guys should love it.
Below is an excerpt from the site.
The Power -V- Grip gives the handle superior form, function and utility the
handles on todays racquets just do not have. Your hand does not fit will for
all the grips on a regular handle. There are serious gaps. Your hand does
not make good contact with the handle. The frame of reference it provides
for finding grips is weak. With the Power -V- Grip your hand will make much
better contact with the handle for all the grips. It's unique feel for each
grip makes them easy to find. Simply put, it is a much better fit.
Anyhow it is truly an invention. I call it my vision because I woke up at
3:00 am one morning after I lost a tough match the day before and taped a
pencil to my racquet handle. I realized how poorly I moved my hand on the
racquet handle. Bang, there it was, Semi-Western, Eastern, Continental clear as
day. All the grips were much easier to find.
Anyhow, thanks guys.
