[tennisbiz] Re: Molded glove for teaching the volley
This is with regard to Grant Williams' Email about the molded volley glove. I
presume he is talking about the Induced Learning System for Tennis. This is a
system that we have been manufacturing and marketing worldwide. It has found
great accptance among NCAA coaches as well as some of the best coaches and
tennis writers. The ILS works amazingly well and could almost be too good. It
teaches and corrects almost instantly and the muscle memory is attained in a
few swings of the hand and subsequently the hand and racquet. The ILS consists
of six dedicated devices, one for each stroke. These devices stabilise the
playing hand three dimensionally, in the ideal contact position for each
stroke. Within a few swings, the learner gets awareness of all the correct
fundamentals of a stroke. It induces correct point of contact, bending of the
knees, use of the larger muscles and surprisingly it also keeps the learner on
his toes as he cannot adjust with the wrist and so has to do so with the feet
and the knees. We have been told by some of the world's top coaches that ILS
is a revolutionary new way of learning. We also hold to that view.
We are now in the process of designing one device that could be adjusted for
all the strokes. We are close to perfecting that design. That would make the
ILS a truly exciting consumer product (we were advised that ILS with its six
devices was perhaps not consumer friendly enough). ILS comes with a video and
an instruction book.

I ama former NCAA player and Davis Cup Captain and have also served as an
