In Memphis, the former Naval Base has hard courts
that are covered by a metal canopy, with a very
heavy curtain material on the two unopened sides.
There are area heaters hung from the ceiling,
which is of ample height.
Even though we are in Memphis, we do have winter
temps in the 20's.
This arrangement is superior to the "bubble"
system used at public courts, but abandoned due
to maintenance and repair costs.
Lighting is not a problem because of the metal
ceiling, which provides support as well as
diffusing the light.
On temperate weekends and during the summer, the
"tarps" can be pulled back, providing a covered
open set of courts.
