Re: Tennis club promotions
You need something that promotes memberships while attracting new players
into existing programs. Start a program where a potential member receives a free
racquet and is automatically placed into a beginner tennis progrqam. I would
make the program at least 5 weeks long so you can track and "steer" these
players into any other programs that you may have. 1 free racquet per family
membership. I found that they usually buy another racquet because there excited and
they usually have outdated equipment. the Prince "Freak" is a good quality
racquet and only cost abut $45 wholesale. the cost to your pro to conduct a
beginner clinic would only be about $60 bucks. So for a little over a $100
investment you're getting a pretty good return. You can set up a whole mailer or
advertising campaign around this idea for only $1500-1600 dollars. We did it and
got 40 new members. That's $48,000 a year in dues for only $6000 invested.
