Re: Screaming while hitting
I am sorry, I have to disagree, screaming and teaching young children to
scream at the ball IS NOT good for the game. Exhaling at the point of contact,
however, does help you on two accounts:
1. It can help your timing.
2. It relaxes your diaphram, thus relaxing the rest of your upper body
which could equal more power.
However, there is NO NEED to scream at the ball, I remember Monica Seles
being asked to turn the volume down during a loss at Wimbledon. It is NOT
BENEFICIAL TO SCREAM. Anyone who thinks it is good because it affects their
opponents needs a lesson in the ethics of tennis!
