Other lines on tennis courts

Our 3 court indoor club in a smaller town sometimes lets a local
badminton group use the 3rd court on off hours. There a smaller white
lines drawn for them on the surface and moblie nets are set up. As a
result this court is less liked by club members. Has any one looked
into the "science" of multiple lines who would have recommendations on
the multiple lining of a tennis court so it would cause less "visual
noise" for the tennis players?
