Best Instructional Tennis Books
I'd recommend any of Chuck Kriese's tennis instruction books. Kriese, the
head men's tennis coach at Clemson University, has written four books: Total
Tennis Training, Winning Tennis, Youth Tennis and Coaching Tennis, all of
which provide outstanding insight into tennis training. The books each
focus on not only the physical component in tennis training, but also on the
very important mental and emotional components.
I've known Kriese for more than 10 years and his books draw from his
extensive experience as a coach, teacher, mentor and parent.
Another book focusing on mental preparedness is Tournament Tough, by Carlos
Goffi. This book also takes a very close look at the mental side of the
game and helps with designing strategies for winning matches. \
