Repair of Tennis courts

I would like to know if it is possible to
patch hard outdoor courts and what is the best material to
use so that the repair lasts for at least several years. The courts are
exposed to the cold winter's and hot summers. Patches in the past don't
seem to last more then one season before patched cracks start appearing
and opening up again.
