[tennisbiz] Re: Coaching High School Teams
Mike
Coaching at the High school level can be a big challenge. Many of the
players just want to wail away at the ball and coaching to improve their
games goes out the door. Game based activities work the best and there
are two publications available that you might want to look into.
Teaching Tennis High School & College by Lisa Duncan
&
A Manual of Group Tennis Drills for Competitive Players by Gundars
Tilmanis
Both are packed with games, drills and ideas that might make your life a
lot easier. Also the USPTR has 2 great workshops:
Competitive/Situational Games & Play Action Drills you can get
information on these workshops on line at www.usptr.org
All the best.
