I have found that teaching the stright back swing works better for
beginners. But after I get them in the grove of hitting the ball I then add
the loop back swing to some degree for timing and more power. Lets face it
when your set up and have the time a full loop back swing is a thing of art
and power.

But I do think that the loop back swing is more for the 4.0 and up players.
