[tennisbiz] Footwork drills
Foot work is important in as much as it allows you to strike the ball in as
balanced a position as possible so you can maximize your contact point.
Quick feet can help you adjust to last moment changes in the path of the
ball. But racquet preparation is more important.
--set up obstacle courses to run through. eg tires, balance beam(low to the
ground).
--run the tennis court lines forwards and backwards
--jumping rope
--1 legged mini squats with eyes closed
there are so many drills but don't neglect time spent hitting tennis balls,
because racquet control is much more important than footspeed.
