In New York State, girl's tennis is in the fall and boy's tennis is in
the spring.

However, I have a follow up question. Our H.S. seasons end with
both team sectionals and individual sectionals. Then the top
players from individual sectionals progress to a singles and
doubles STATE H.S. tournament.

This seems strange to me, because the season is played all year
as a team sport and then the epitome of the season is an individual
event.

Is this the case in all other states?
