Here in New Hampshire the boy's and girl's high school tennis season is in
the spring. The first matches begin around the first to second week of
April and go to around the third week in May. Most teams have fourteen
matches per season. At the end of the season, there is a team championship
for the different high school divisions or classes (Class L, Class I, Class
M-S) and there is also the individual singles and doubles championships.
The two best singles players and the two best doubles teams from each team
get to enter the state tournament. All of this is usually completed by the
end of the first week in June. School usually ends around the third week in
June. It is a very busy season with the weather playing a very big part.
