[tennisbiz] Re: tennis elbow

The forearm muscles are used in the acceleration process and
therefore grow as the strength improves. I was not saying that
the forearm muscles are not used. I merely stated that the
forearm muscles had finished their acceleration process by the
contact point and therefore were relaxed during contact,
absorbing the vibrations.
If someone were to make contact late, before the forearm muscles
have fired for acceleration, then the forearm muscles contract
to stablize the racquet head. If the forearm muscles are
contracted during impact, then the vibrations continue to the
tendons in the elbow.
