[tennisbiz] Getting volunteers
I have been elected president of a local Community Tennis
Association in a town of about 30,000 people.
We have a web site, two very will attended tournaments, have run
several clinics and the area's largest rallyball league. We will be
running a full time camp this summer.
We have a fairly sizeable mailing list, and have an internet
newsletter that gets sent out about once a month.
We have tremendous amount of support from the local government.
Who could ask for anything more, right?
Well, we can't get anyone in the community to volunteer or even to
serve on the board. Frequently we have board meetings with only
three or four people. We had to beg people to serve as officers that
really do almost nothing.
Try to get someone to run a two hour event? Forget it.
Anyone have any ideas that might help?
