Do you want a full-color image piece or just an 11 x 17 information sheet
(the latter is typically one or two colors and relatively inexpensive to
produce)?
In each situation know the type of artwork you want to use and seek a graphic
artist who can create the element(s). Artists can typically incorporate any
copy you want included with the graphics. These professionals will run the
price spectrum depending on the quality and content for what you seek.
The same goes for printers. If you are producing a 24 x 36 color piece, your
choice of printers will be those who have presses that can accommodate the
job. Know the style you want to achieve in the poster, gather quotes (seek
quality as well as price -- ask to see samples) and proceed.
