[tennisbiz2] Re: Code of Behavior
Regarding Paul Fein's comments on my posting, my "rules" were
merely examples. Each club can create their own code. As far as
"water only" is concerned, the club where I play has that posting to
discourage coffee and cola being taken onto the court. Each
beverage, when spilled, stains the court. I have yet to see any
beverage police -- or cell phone police for that matter. However, I
am considering organizing a vigillante group to confiscate cell
phones that ring -- (and are answered!) -- on the court.
The ball rule is mine. I, too, have played with six balls. My thoughts
were geared to players who bring a basket of balls without regard to
neighboring courts that are repeatedly interupted by stray balls .
More than annoying, it can be dangerous if a ball gets stepped on.
But no, I have no intention of counting tennis balls either.
Good to hear from you, Paul. I hope you are well.
