It sounds to me that you are being hired as an independent contractor by
the community. If you are an employee, then it is up to the employer to
cover your workers comp and liability insurance. Having the PTR
insurance is an added benefit to the employer. If you are an
independent contractor, then it is up to you to get your own insurance
or not, based on your own comfort level with the possibility of losing
income due to time off from work because of an injury. The liability
insurance through PTR is a given, but the other is not.
I would double check their request for the workers comp insurance.
