[tennisbiz] Re: Gender discrimination in tennis coaching
In my experience as a tennis director, I know we
valued women teaching pros, but they were VERY hard to
find. I don't ever remember turning one down.
Having a woman on staff is very valuable. There are
some girls who respond better to women instructors
than men. And there are also some men who prefer a
woman pro as well. The few in our area were and are
greatly in demand.
I think in this field, not only is there no
discrimination, but it is actually an advantage to be
a woman.
